Snowsport South is a division of Snowsport England and is the regional governing body responsible for promoting all disciplines of Skiing and Snowboarding in the southern region of England.
Racing within the league is aimed at providing young athletes and new comers the ability to train in a competitive but fun environment in preparation for the Snowsport England National events.
To enter races, please first register using (register) on the right of the menu bar. You can then log in and enter races.
The next Snowsport South Race is at Bowles this Saturday. The postcode for the slope is TN3 9LW.
The provisional timetable is:
7:45 Centre Opens
8:00 Bibs available to club representatives
8:30 - 9:15 Open Practice (or earlier if the course is ready)
9:30 Individual Timed Runs Start
~12:30 Individual Head-to-Heads
~14:15 Club Championships
~15:30 Fun Teams
There will be tea and coffee available to buy - but no food so don't forget your picnic! No BBQ's or open fires are allowed.
Lubricants are allowed on the slope - but please no black graphite as it leaves the matting in a mess. SkiBartlett will be there if you need anything.
The start list and start list by club will be sent to all entrants and posted here by Friday morning.
Well done to everyone who raced today. The individual results are posted via the link on the right. The results of the team events can be found here.
Thank you to everyone who has entered Sunday's race - it's great to have so many racers. In order to stick to the provisional timetable, we will need everyone's help. Please follow the marshals' instructions and be ready to race when it is your turn!
We would like to get racing underway as soon after practice as we can so please would parents of racers under 9 years old have them ready for their first run and by the race control hut at 08:50.

~16:30 Prize Giving
Because of the large number of entrants, it will not be possible for racers to have more than 2-3 practice runs. Please do not be selfish - allow everyone a fair chance!
At bib allocation, a printout will be given to each club representative. This will indicate whether racers have declared they are doing the fun teams or not. It will also indicate which club teams the club is eligible for. This sheet must be returned to the timing hut immediately after the end of the 3 individual timed runs indicating any changes to the fun team entries and confirming which club team categories the club will be entering. The draws for the rest of the day cannot be made without this information.
Racers are reminded that they must have bungs on their poles. SkiBartlett will be at the race if you need to purchase any equipment.
NB There will be pressure on parking space at the slope so please respect the signs!
The start list can be found here and the start list by club here.
